About Dan

Dan Marshall is native of San Francisco and real estate investor for nearly 30 years in the city in which grew up. Dan’s perspective on San Francisco and the many changes that have occurred in the city over the years is an important asset of The LanceDan Group. Dan’s primary roles on the team include marketing, networking, negotiating and managing business budgets.

Prior to his affiliation with Alain Pinel Realtors, Dan and Lance Fulford were a team at Pacific Union Real Estate and formed The LanceDan Group in 1996. Earlier, Dan spent eight years working independently as one of the owners at Century 21/Hartford Properties.

Dan and Lance were awarded Top Producer designations four years in a row when they were at Pacific Union. In 2006, The LanceDan Group sold 32 properties with a total value of $28 million.
Dan’s business acumen and operations experience were learned earlier in professional life. During the 1970s and 1980s he was co-owner of three popular deli restaurants in San Francisco. He was also Vice President of Grodin’s on Union Square and managed over 300 employees.

Dan earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from University of San Francisco. He is an active member of the San Francisco Association of Realtors, the California Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors.Through ongoing professional training, he has earned the Corporate Mobility Specialist certification. Dan also participates and supports Eagle Scout programs and is a member of Project Open Hand. His wife, Helen Marshall, is also a Realtor based in APR’s Montclair office.
